The Light at the End of the SEO Tunnel

May 7, 2008

seotunnelvision.jpgThe tech world is experiencing fusion like never before.

Domainers start developing, SEOs learn about branding, designer no longer need “an expert” to tell them how to structure their sites.

In a few words: Everyone is waking up!

Well, not everyone. Many are still stuck in one channel and think that registering “keyword friendly domain names” and doing pay per click will keep them going and growing, so here is my prediction for the future:

If you don’t wake up and expand your horizon a little bit, you will NOT survive.

And here is why:

The SEO tricks you have once learned are now common knowledge. Pay per click may help you generate traffic, but soon others will be able to invest so much more than you and there will be more software to help companies track the offbeat terms you are proud to target.

Who will take over?

Those who understand how to use SEO to brand themselves rather than relying on it completely.

If you don’t learn how to make an impact, you will go down eventually unless you work twice as hard as today.

If you have a domain name nobody can remember, then you will lose your momentum.

“My rankings haven’t changed, but my traffic has gone down.”

Well, duh!

Who do you think is getting it?

Those who are more brandable, visible and look less spammy and more repectable.

Don’t listen to those who want to waste your time on strategies that actually hurt your business overall.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

If you don’t see it, you might be walking into the wrong direction.

I am Mike Dammann and this is my SEO tip of the day. :)

I found a quick way to get Goggle to index my New web site over night.

My old web site had a PR 2 what I did was to simply change my web site name and keep the same webhost.

With Goggle searching my web site the next day giving me ” 200 Status OK ” for all of my new pages.

Goggle still find’s some of my old files giving me 404 pages less each day from my old site.

Goggle follows your IP address more than your URL.
